Technology and education: Then VS Now.

Technology has changed education in various ways. From making education more accessible and meaningful to enhancing the manner in which teachers and learners interact during the process of learning, technology has had many profound and positive effects on education.

From the  history   of  school…

ü Most of school were very small, often they had only one room for studying. Sometimes children of different ages were studying together. Usually there was only one teacher.
ü Younger children write on slates with white chalk. When they were  older, pupils learned to write  with ink pens .
ü Children didn’t have many books or copies, as they were very expensive ! Only 2 or 3 books for a class.
ü Teachers were very strict. If the children were naughty, they had to stand in the corner. Very often the teacher could hit them with a cane!
ü Most children stopped going to school at the age of twelve, because they needed to make money to help the family. Usually they worked at the factories or in the fields. Life wasn’t easy!
